“Jacqueline Melchior Completes 2010 Boston Marathon in 3:24:41

In what is arguably the most prestigious road racing event in the world, Jacqueline Melchior Olathe, KS runner, celebrated a remarkable performance in the 2010 Boston Marathon. The race held April 19, 2010 had 9,721 total female competitors from 79 different countries. Melchior crossed the finish line with a time of 3:24:41 taking nearly 14 minutes off her 2008 Boston Marathon time. She finished 797 overall female and 110th in her age group in the world’s oldest annual marathon event.”

Thank you Swanson Midgley, LLC Kansas City, Missouri and Max Muscle, Olathe KS, for your sponsorship. More importantly thank you Chad Austin for the personal training you have provided me in the past year. Without your love for running, I wouldn’t be where I am now. Your expertise with endurance training and strength training have made me what I have become today. I have always been an incredibly hard worker with a huge passion for distance running. I am so proud of my accomplishments and looking forward to many upcoming races this year hoping to set personal records for each event. Thank you again for all your support.

My name is Paul Carrigan. One statistic puts 40% of the railroad workforce as obese, 2 out of every 3 Americans are statistically obese and diabetes among Americans is climbing at at staggering pace with a price tag of 174 Billion dollars in 2007. Sobering stats to say the least.
In 2007 I weighed 202lbs, it wasn’t until 2009 when I decided to do something about it. Chad gave me my fitness assessment at 24 hour fitness and he was also my trainer for the past year. It wasn’t until August of 2010 when I made the personal decision of the importance of getting back into shape and living a healthier lifestyle.
The majority of weight loss has occurred in the last year. Since 2007 I have lost 30lbs and feel so much better. My blood pressure is normal ( 110/70) and my cholesterol is normal as well. I am 46 and in better shape than anytime in my 30′s.
Thanks to Chad, I now understand the importance of diet and exercise and the dedication needed to control weight gain and remain physically fit. Believe me, its not easy especially with a on call schedule like mine. I can get called into work at any hour of the day and usually I am going to work in the middle of the night or getting off work when everybody else is getting ready to have breakfast or lunch.
Chad Austin can help you reach your goals as well.

In February of 2008, our family went on a ski trip to Colorado. I had just gotten over a serious battle with MRSA (MRSA stands for Methacillin Resistant Staphachoceal Aureas- also labeled the superbug) that I fought for 19 months. It had also caused a 40 pound weight gain.
I thought I was in decent shape, as I had been healthy for a full year when the ski trip came along, but I had been unable to lose any of the excess weight I had gained while being ill. I got a huge wake-up call after that first run down the slopes. As I started down the 2nd run of the morning, my whole body just seized up. I was barely able to make it down the slopes on my own. I wasn’t able to ski for the rest of the trip. At this point, my son Chad said that he thought that he could help me. When we got home, he made up an exercise program for me to follow that included core exercises and either walking, cycling, or using our eleptical in 10-15 minute intervals 3 times a day.
My starting weight was 240 lbs. in February of 2008, and I wore a size 20 womens. By June I’d lost about 30 lbs., and by December I was down to 180 lbs. and back into my size 14 jeans. I’d lost 8 inches from my hips, 8 inches from my waist, and 5 inches from my thighs. After a year I weighed 170 lbs
Since the weight loss, I am no longer diabetic. I have normal blood pressure, and my cholesterol is 180 with my HDLs, LDLs, and triglycerides all at good levels.
My name is Linda Austin, I’m 56 years old and have lost 80 lbs., and have kept it off for over two years
